Christ and the Woman of Samaria — Histoire et analyse
Dans cette gravure tardive, Rembrandt dépeint le moment où le Christ, la main sur la poitrine, révèle qu'il est l'homme dont la femme samaritaine a entendu parler. Les apôtres, plus loin dans le plan moyen, montrent clairement leur étonnement qu'il lui parle. Le paysage et les bâtiments suggèrent une influence italienne, mais il n'est pas clair sur quel exemple Rembrandt s'est appuyé.
