Gnarled Trees near the Water — Histoire et analyse
Cette petite gravure représentant des arbres avec un pont et des chasseurs en arrière-plan est la seule eau-forte qui peut être fermement attribuée à Savery. L'artiste a utilisé son propre dessin comme modèle. Le dessin est quadrillé pour le transfert - une technique utilisée pour copier une composition à une échelle plus grande - ce qui indique qu'il avait à l'origine d'autres projets pour celui-ci.
Il a finalement décidé de l'utiliser pour une eau-forte d'une taille à peu près équivalente.
