St Peter and St John at the Gate of the Temple — Histoire et analyse
Les disciples du Christ, Pierre et Jean, rencontrèrent un mendiant handicapé à la porte du temple qui demandait l'aumône. Pierre répondit qu'il n'avait ni argent ni or à lui donner, et au lieu de cela, il le guérit au nom du Christ. Cette feuille extrêmement rare est clairement une gravure précoce de Rembrandt, comme on peut le voir par son exécution rugueuse et esquissée.
Son style de gravure ultérieur est beaucoup plus fin.
