Still Life with Flowers and Fruit — Histoire et analyse
La nature morte florale était un genre très populaire au XVIIIe siècle, que Van Huysum a porté à de grands sommets. Il a rempli cette peinture presque jusqu'aux bords de fleurs et de fruits. La couleur de la feuille à gauche est étrange.
Cela est dû au fait que le pigment jaune que Van Huysum a mélangé avec du bleu pour créer du vert s'est estompé sous l'influence de la lumière (du soleil). En conséquence, les passages initialement verts de cette peinture sont maintenant bleus.
