The Canal at ’s-Graveland — Storia e analisi
Nel 1817, il mercante di Amsterdam Herman Waller commissionò a Van Os di dipingere due prospettive del villaggio di ’s-Graveland, dove Waller aveva una casa di campagna. Van Os dipinse questa scena da una finestra della casa di Waller o dall'osteria locale. Questo alto punto di vista offriva una prospettiva insolita.
La vista diagonale del canale di ’s-Graveland include anche il giardino, con un giardiniere e due cani.
