Orpheus and the Animals — História e Análise
O poeta clássico Ovídio descreveu como Orfeu encantava a natureza com sua maravilhosa música de lira. Este tema era popular entre os pintores de animais do século XVII, pois lhes dava a oportunidade de retratar muitos tipos diferentes de animais. Aqui, Potter demonstra que seu repertório abrangia mais do que os habituais animais de fazenda.
