Portrait of Oopjen Coppit — Historia y Análisis
Oopjen era la mayor de tres hijas de una antigua y adinerada familia de Ámsterdam. Se sentó para Rembrandt un año después de su boda con Marten. Tenía 23 años y estaba embarazada de su primer hijo.
El matrimonio representaba una alianza entre una familia establecida y una de recién llegados. Esto se celebró con la comisión de retratos monumentales del principal retratista de la ciudad, a saber, Rembrandt van Rijn.
