St Jerome beside a Pollard Willow — Historia y Análisis
En esta impresión, Rembrandt siguió un método de trabajo que utilizó en numerosas ocasiones. Comenzó la escena como un estudio detallado de un sauce cabrón proto-holandés, que grabó en la plancha de cobre; luego añadió a San Jerónimo y su fiel compañero en punta seca. Con hábiles trazos, Rembrandt rasguñó una alta cascada en el fondo, un entorno adecuado para un ermitaño en la naturaleza.
