Saul and the Witch of Endor — Storia e analisi

Temendo l'esito di una battaglia, Saul, re degli Israeliti, consultò la strega indovina di Endor. La profezia si avverò: Saul perse la battaglia, ma poco prima di essere ucciso, si gettò sulla sua spada. Il suo suicidio – sullo sfondo centrale – è un avvertimento contro la stregoneria.

In primo piano c'è un Sabba delle Streghe: l'indovina siede all'interno di un cerchio di gesso, circondata da altre streghe, satiri e figure immaginarie.
