Rembrandt continuou a alterar a placa. Esta impressão mostra quão escura a composição realmente é quando a placa é impressa sem o generoso tom da placa da impressão à esquerda. Rembrandt tornou a prateleira acima do túmulo um pouco mais clara, para que os dois crânios repousando sobre ela possam ser novamente distinguidos.
