Bust of Piet Hein — 历史与趣闻
皮特·海因在荷兰、地中海、亚洲、非洲和美洲作为水手作战。但他真正成名是在1628年9月，他在古巴海岸捕获了西班牙银舰队。对西班牙来说，失去这支舰队是一次财务灾难，而对荷兰共和国来说，恰恰相反，这是一次巨大的胜利。海因在荷兰人中变得极为受欢迎，受到各地的尊敬。仅仅一年后，海因在英吉利海峡与奥斯坦德的私掠者发生冲突时去世。
