Saint Vitus — Historia y Análisis
Vitus fue un niño siciliano del siglo IV que soportó formas bárbaras de tortura tras su conversión al cristianismo. La más cruel de ellas fue ser hervido, a los doce años, en un caldero de aceite, resina y brea. Milagrosamente, sobrevivió gracias a su fe inquebrantable.
Representar a Vitus en un caldero fue muy popular durante la Edad Media, especialmente en el sur de Alemania.
