Shiva Nataraja — Historia y Análisis
Nataraja, rey de los danzantes, es una de las manifestaciones más conocidas de Shiva. Esta forma probablemente se originó en el siglo IX o X, en el sureste de India (el actual estado de Tamil Nadu), y se volvió muy popular bajo el dominio de los Cholas (siglos IX-XIII). Además de las grandes estatuas de Nataraja en los templos, también se hicieron estatuas pequeñas, probablemente destinadas a altares domésticos.
