The Ringball-player — Historia y Análisis
El hombre que empuja una pelota está jugando al ringball. En este juego, una pelota debe ser impulsada a través de un aro al final de un callejón. En el siglo XVII, era un pasatiempo popular, y los callejones a menudo se encontraban cerca de tabernas y posadas.
Las figuras restantes son, por tanto, sin duda clientes de tabernas, a quienes Rembrandt dibujó de manera excepcionalmente libre en la plancha de grabado.
