St Peter and St John at the Gate of the Temple — Histoire et analyse
Trente ans après sa première version de ce sujet, Rembrandt l'a gravé à nouveau et l'a conçu d'une manière entièrement différente. Les apôtres, au premier plan à gauche, jouent désormais un rôle de simple soutien. L'accent est mis sur le Temple de Jérusalem en arrière-plan, avec des colonnes salomoniques devant lui et d'innombrables figures rassemblées autour du site sacrificiel.
