Rembrandt ha inciso il più grande di questi tre mendicanti nello stesso stile delle figure nei disegni adiacenti. Ha indicato tutte le ombre con linee verticali parallele. Questo tratteggio aggiunge vivacità alla rappresentazione, ma è anche piuttosto grezzo.
