Dopo che De Metaale Pot assunse un modellatore francese, riuscì a diventare la prima fabbrica di ceramica nei Paesi Bassi a produrre grandi oggetti scultorei in terracotta. L'influenza del modellatore è visibile nel modo in cui le pieghe del drappeggio intorno alle spalle di questo busto ritratto sono rese.
