St Nicholas — História e Análise
Para atender à crescente demanda por imagens de São Nicolau, o editor Barent Koene pegou uma xilogravura danificada do século XVI com um retrato do imperador Carlos V e fez uma nova impressão com o nome do santo em cima. O chapéu original do imperador, um boné com uma pena, foi transformado por um golpe bem direcionado de tinta vermelha em uma espécie de touca de dormir, e aí está o seu gentil santo.
