The Buddha Amida — Historia y Análisis
Amida (el Buda del Paraíso Occidental) sigue siendo popular en Japón. Para renacer en el Paraíso Occidental se requiere una fe firme en Amida y la repetida invocación de su nombre. El rostro suave y redondeado de esta figura es característico de las esculturas de Buda japonesas del siglo XII.
Los rasgos faciales elegantes han sido estilizados, al igual que las manos y los pliegues de la drapeado.
