Esta pequeña grabado presenta a un orfebre martillando en su taller, con sus herramientas a la izquierda, un yunque a la derecha y un pequeño fuego en la fragua detrás de él. Su brazo está tiernamente envuelto alrededor de una estatuilla de la que pronto tendrá que separarse. La madre, simbolizando la Caridad, sostiene a sus dos hijos con igual amor.
