The Potato Eaters — Historia y Análisis

Además de ser pintor y dibujante, Van Gogh también fue un grabador. Dibujó esta representación de una versión temprana de Los comedores de patatas de memoria en la piedra litográfica. Con la esperanza de obtener cierto reconocimiento, realizó una serie de impresiones a partir de ella.

También sentía que al usar un medio diferente podría obtener nueva inspiración para la pintura final.
