Three Women and a Child by a Door — Storia e analisi
Rembrandt traeva un evidente piacere dal disegnare scene domestiche di donne e bambini. Anche i collezionisti erano chiaramente affascinati da esse. Quando il pittore e collezionista Jan van de Cappelle morì nel 1679, lasciò un album contenente 135 disegni 'che rappresentano la vita delle donne con bambini di Rembrandt.' Forse questo splendido disegno era uno di essi.
