Memorial Portrait of Moses ter Borch — História e Análise
Moisés morreu em 1667 durante a tomada do Forte Languard perto de Felixstowe, na Inglaterra. Não muito depois, Gerard e Gesina pintaram esta imagem em memória do seu irmão mais novo. Gerard pintou o retrato de Moisés, Gesina o fundo e os objetos.
Estes aludem à morte heroica de Moisés e à transitoriedade da vida, como o tempo (o relógio de bolso), a morte (o crânio), a eternidade (a hera nas rochas) e a lealdade (os cães).
