Seated Man Reading, Facing Right — História e Análise

Uma característica de muitos dos homens e mulheres na obra de Dusart é a sua feiura. Aqui, o artista foi um pouco mais gentil: este jovem pode não ser um Adonis, mas seus membros e seu corpo estão todos no lugar certo, e ele tem um rosto amigável. Suas roupas são simples, mas não há remendos ou bordas desfiadas.

E embora ele possa não ser rico, não é tolo: ele sabe ler.
