Heraclitus — História e Análise
O sábio grego Heráclito era conhecido como o filósofo chorão porque lamentava a tolice da humanidade, enquanto seu oposto Demócrito (o pendente próximo) só podia rir disso. Aqui, Heráclito parece um velho melancólico. Cabisbaixo, ele se apoia em um globo terrestre e gesticula desdenhosamente com a mão esquerda, como se dissesse: 'Tudo é em vão, o mundo não levará a nada.'
