Medea, or the Marriage of Jason and Creusa — Historia y Análisis
Escrita por Jan Six, la tragedia Medea se estrenó en 1647. Rembrandt diseñó la portada de la obra impresa. La escena que él representó, por cierto, no aparece en ella: solo resumió la trama.
En el primer plano derecho está Medea, abandonada por su esposo, Jasón, quien se casa con la princesa Creusa en el estrado de arriba. Medea llevó a cabo una espantosa venganza contra ellos.
