Henri Victor Gabriel Le Fauconnier was a French painter and a prominent figure in the early 20th-century art movement known as Cubism. Born on July 6, 1881, in Paris, he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts and was influenced by the works of Paul Cézanne and the emerging Cubist style. Le Fauconnier became known for his innovative approach to form and space, often depicting still lifes and figures in a fragmented manner that challenged traditional perspectives. His career flourished in the 1910s, and he exhibited with the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Indépendants. Major works include 'The Woman with the Hat' and 'Still Life with Fruit.' Le Fauconnier's contributions to Cubism and his exploration of abstraction have made him a significant figure in the development of modern art. He passed away on March 6, 1946, in Paris.
