Dutch, 1416

The Limbourg brothers – Herman, Paul and Jean – were miniature painters from Nijmegen, active in France in the early 15th century until 1416. Working in the International Gothic style for Jean de France, Duke of Berry, they painted the Belles Heures and the celebrated Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry, which they left unfinished.
