Stefano da Verona

Italian, 1379–1438

Stefano da Verona, also called Stefano da Zevio (c. 1379 – after 1438), was an Italian painter of the late Gothic period, active mainly in Verona. He was the son of the French painter Jean d'Arbois and a friend of Pisanello. His Adoration of the Magi in the Pinacoteca di Brera is signed and dated 1434, and the Madonna of the Rose Garden in Verona's Castelvecchio Museum is attributed either to him or to Michelino da Besozzo.
