Iraqi
Yahya ibn Mahmud al-Wasiti was a 13th-century Arab painter and calligrapher from Iraq. He copied and illustrated the Maqamat of al-Hariri dated 1237, now in the Bibliothèque nationale de France (Arabe 5847), one of the best-known illustrated Arabic manuscripts.
