Yōgetsu was a Japanese painter known for his contributions to the Nihonga style, which emphasizes traditional Japanese techniques and materials. He was born in 1880 and became a prominent figure in the art world during the early 20th century. Yōgetsu trained under the renowned Nihonga artist, Yokoyama Taikan, and was influenced by the natural landscapes of Japan, which became a central theme in his work. His paintings often feature delicate brushwork and a harmonious color palette, reflecting the beauty of nature and traditional Japanese aesthetics.
