Josetsu (active early 15th century) was a Japanese Zen monk and painter of the Muromachi period, one of the first Japanese masters of ink wash (suiboku) painting. He worked at the Shōkoku-ji monastery in Kyoto and was probably the teacher of Tenshō Shūbun. His best-known work, Catching a Catfish with a Gourd, belongs to Taizō-in, a sub-temple of Myōshin-ji in Kyoto.
