Bohemian
The Master of the Třeboň Altarpiece (also called the Master of Wittingau) was an anonymous Bohemian painter active in Prague around 1380–1390. He is named after the altarpiece from the church of Saint Giles at the Augustinian convent in Třeboň, whose panels, including Christ on the Mount of Olives, are now in the National Gallery Prague. His figures, set in deep space and modelled with light and shade, shaped the Bohemian 'Beautiful Style' of International Gothic painting.
