Painting — History & Facts
Van Goyen överger sedan temat för att ta upp det igen på 1640-talet -*- The winter scene is a dutch speciailty adopted by Avercamp and van der Venne at the beginning of the century and continued by Esias van de Velde, van Goyen and Salomon Ruysdael in Haarlem during the 1610s. Van Goyen then abandons the theme, returning to it in the 1640s.
