A sunlit courtyard wall fills the scene, its ochre and cream plaster catching the light in broad, textured strokes. At the left, a small window or opening is set into the wall, partly shaded and framed by rough, pale masonry. Blue and white tiles line the sill, their geometric patterns rendered with quick, suggestive marks.

A metal bucket rests on the ledge, its form loosely defined, while a yellow cloth or rope hangs down, casting a faint shadow on the wall below. The lower part of the composition shows a few shallow steps, their edges softened by the dry, sandy tones of the ground. Trailing from the upper edge, a dense cluster of green leaves spills over the wall, painted with dabs and swirls of thick pigment.

Hints of other vegetation appear at the base of the wall and in the lower right, where the brushwork grows more sketch-like and open. Light falls unevenly across the surface, illuminating the foliage and picking out the textures of stucco and stone. The paint is applied with visible, confident strokes, especially in the greenery and the wall, where the artist leaves much of the canvas texture exposed.

The palette is dominated by warm earth tones, offset by the cool blues of the tiles and the vibrant greens of the leaves. A small, rectangular patch of white is visible in the upper right corner, suggesting a distant wall or architectural feature beyond the main courtyard. In the lower right corner, loose, dark green brushstrokes indicate scattered tufts of grass or low plants growing at the base of the wall.

The top edge of the painting shows a thin line of sunlit earth and sparse greenery above the wall, painted with quick, horizontal dashes. Light creates a subtle gradient across the wall, with the brightest area concentrated near the center and upper left, while the right side and lower corners remain in shadow.
