Bowl — History & Facts
The inside of this bowl was decorated with stamped and carved motifs, which were then filled with white slip. A layer of white slip was brushed over the outer surface of the bowl. This type of stoneware was produced in large quantities and was an affordable imitation of the more precious white porcelain.
The appearance was less smooth and refined, but more natural.
