Cabinet — History & Facts
All the elements of this cabinet are curved, as if the entire piece of furniture were moving. The carved ornament - a combination of plants and flowers and abstract forms - reinforces that impression. Only rarely in the Netherlands did such a large and massive piece of furniture manage to express the Rococo style so perfectly.
Perhaps this cabinet was designed by a sculptor and not by a cabinetmaker.
