Chandelier — History & Facts
The woodcarver who made this chandelier gave free rein to his penchant for fanciful shapes. The form of the canopy and the ornamentation bring to mind rocks, waves, water, plants and other natural phenomena. This asymmetrical, seemingly weightless object is a textbook example of the Rococo style.
