Two candlesticks — History & Facts
These candlesticks are decorated smooth, ovoid planes. When the candles are lit, these fields look like wax drippings. This abstract ornamentation differs notably from the elaborate chasing found on much other Dutch silver from the third quarter of the 17th century.
